Our Sustainable Dairy Project aims to work closely with the farmers in our supply chain to drive commercial benefits for producers. We also believe that by working together we can bring about improvements to animal welfare, food quality and environmental practices, which will benefit the whole dairy industry.
Tesco introduces the 12 Partnership Farms:

The project will be co-ordinated by Ruth Layton, Food Animal Initiative (FAI). Matt Dobbs, Westpoint Veterinary Group, will be managing the health issues.

Tesco will also continue to support numerous initiatives across British Agriculture which:
- Help young people
- Improve animal welfare on farms
- Protect the environment
- Research into new or novel farming techniques with our Sustainable Dairy Project
- Help develop products
- Develop organic supply chains
- Support dairy events (e.g. Nantwich, Dairy Event and the British Cheese Awards)
- Support small cheese producers with the Cheese Challenge
