Sarah Neaves - Kent Braeburn Grower

Little Sharsted Farm, Doddington in Kent, was established in 1940 by Bryan’s father Archie.
Over the next 67 years the Neaves family have grown some of England’s best tasting apples, steadily growing their farm and today they manage 480 acres of apples, pears, cherries and plums. The Neaves family grow more than 15 different varieties of apples, pears, cherries and plums for Tesco customers, using their 3 generations of experience to grow high quality fruit in an environmentally friendly way.
Little Sharsted farm is accredited in the Tesco’s Nature’s Choice scheme which means that great attention is paid to the whole farm environment and the impact of fruit production on the area. Small pieces of woodland are maintained as well as traditional hedgerows to help support a large, varied population of wildlife. Wide grassy areas are maintained along the edges of all fields to encourage populations of beneficial plants and insects to help naturally manage pest problems in the fruit orchards.
