Sole suppliers of Tesco Finest*® Vintage Farmhouse Cheddar, The Baker Family purchased the farm in South Somerset in 1966 which was already an established cheese making business. In 1980 Philip Keys joined the dairy; he is now the head cheese maker making nearly 500 tonnes of P.D.O. Farmhouse Cheddar. Neil looks after the 950 cows that are needed to supply the milk to make the cheese, Neil’s mother; Christine Baker runs the dairy side of business. The Baker family have recently invested £2million on improving their farm with the aim of improving milk quality and therefore cheese quality.  Tesco take approximately 52% of their production of the PDO cheddar for Tesco Finest Vintage Farmhouse.
