Farmer Profiles
Ashley Chase Estate
South West Dorset in the Bride Valley.

Cheese sourced from this farm is supplied in Farmhouse Medium, Farmhouse Mature, and Farmhouse Extra Mature
The farm based company is made up from two family businesses: the Pullin family and the Littman family, who both started farming after the Second World War. Mike Pullin has been farming and cheese making for 25 years. He is the second generation of the Pullin family involved in cheese making. After leaving Cannington Agricultural College in Somerset, he began running the family farm in Somerset milking 180 cows and making farmhouse specialty cheeses. In 1996 Mike joined forces with Cedric Littman at Ashley Chase Estate bringing his Somerset specialty farmhouse cheese making down to the farm at Ashley Chase in Dorset. Mike now runs the Farmhouse Cheese making operation at Ford Farm on the Ashley Chase Estate. The milk comes directly from the 700 cows on the estate farms and is topped up with milk from neighbouring Dorset farms.
