Bunched Carrots
Albert Bartlett & Sons, grow all their own carrots, they wash grade and pack for Tesco thus ensuring total control of quality, freshness and availability for Tesco customers. The family run business has invested in a field harvester to increase the freshness of bunches compared to historical hand pulling methods. This is the only machine of its type in the U.K. ensuring a cost effective mechanized harvest. Bunched carrots are grown on a different system to other carrots, ensuring an even size so all the plants capture the same natural sunlight and moisture, leading to uniform growth and flavour. The varieties are selected for Tesco specifically for bunching.
